Although Christianity is the main religion in Belize, other religious influences can also be identified in Belize. Apart from Christmas and Easter, which are the main festivals pf Belize, there are several other festivals in Belize. Some of them are marked by great pomp and splendor and are often secular in nature. Spreading a common harmony in spite of the great cultural difference and having a great time together are the main aims of the festivals of Belize.

Fiesta de Carnival: This feast is held just week before the celebration of Lent. The celebrations are marked by traditional group dances.
Annual Agricultural and Trade Shows: This is one of the most colorful festivals of Belize. It involves colorful displays of traditional costumes, livestocks, dances and handicrafts. It is celebrated once in every two years in Orange Walk Town and Belmopan.
Good Friday in Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker: This festival is celebrated in the month of April. This catholic celebration is marked by processions with people carrying the Holy Cross. The procession begins from 3:00 pm in the afternoon.
San Jose Succotz Fiesta: This is a fun filled feast in the memory of Belize's patron saint. The feast is marked by various entertainment shows, marimba music and lip smacking cuisines.
Cashew Festival: This festival celebrates the harvest of the cashew fruits. The celebration is marked by cashew wine, folklore stories, punt music, games and Caribbean-style dishes.
Coconut Festival: The festival is marked by a local colorful parade. You can enjoy various types of beverages and local dishes in this festival.
Dia de San Pedro: This festival is celebrated in the month of June in the honor of San Pedro's patron saint- St. Peter. Boat parades are organized early in the morning of the festival. This is a way to offer blessings to the fishermen community and their boats.
